what is ‘the latch theory’?
The Latch Theory is a creative interior design studio, created by our founder Lucy.
Through professional and personal experiences, we realised a renovation can feel incredibly overwhelming with many elements to consider. Therefore, we laid out the 5 fundamentals she believed are key to a perfect design: Lighting, arrangement, texture, colour and height. And voila, The Latch Theory was born!

With years of experience in the industry working for leading retailers, I have built up my interior product and design knowledge. Alongside this, I have been pushing myself to learn more about the interior design industry, gaining my qualifications and working on projects internationally.
My aim with the latch theory is to help make the overall interior design process less daunting and more enjoyable for my clients.
Offering one to one consultations has allowed me to guide my customers, working collaboratively to create a space which reflects them. I am a firm believer that a space should reflect your own personality! I also see the importance of working with what you already have. Not only is this cost-effective, but it’s a great way to reduce waste.
